We produce innovative digital book experiences, publish and distribute eBooks, and introduce storytellers to different technologies. We use our expertise in technology, UI, UX and design to transcend the traditional boundaries of print and digital.

What we do

eBooks

eBooks now account for about a quarter of global book sales. For authors, eBooks mean a simpler workflow, lower upfront costs, and faster entry to market. Publishers also save costs and recover lost revenue resulting from titles being out-of-print or out-of-stock. Readers get eBooks faster and cheaper, have easier access to indie or out-of-print titles, and no longer have to worry about overflowing shelves and carrying bulky books.

Storytellers' Kitchen

Storytellers’ Kitchen is founded on the spirit of experimentation and collaborative design; dive in and get a taste of how technology can enhance storytelling through these hands-on workshops. We’ll introduce you to various recipes, which come with their own fancy tools and exotic ingredients, and equip you with the skills to cook up various stories.

Tusitala 360º: Sorta Scary Singapore Stories

Experience horror come to life through 360º illustrations, accompanied by clips from audiobooks by Storytel. Four illustrators interpret a scene from four local stories by Catherine Lim, Clara Chow Daryl Qilin Yam and Suffian Hakim, bringing you their versions of nightmares to you via VR headsets. First showcased at Textures 2020, this free 5-10 min immersive experience brings writing, audiobooks, and illustration together to introduce SingLit to the public in a new and exciting way.

Tusitala Interactive: Somewhere Else, Another You

Tusitala adapted the print book into a free browser-based experience, enhancing the existing narrative with interactivity, web and mobile effects, and sound. This experience targets readers to new SingLit particularly people below 35 and are interested in science-fiction, choose-your-own-adventure stories, and narrative games. We also wanted to bring books to where most people are reading these days: mobile.
